It’s difficult to know for certain. Only the judge or Social Security itself will make that kind of determination. However, if you have a serious physical or mental disability, and you’re not working and you don’t feel that there is work that you can do, there is a good probability that you are disabled.
You can file an immediate application with Social Security, and they’ll decide whether you’re disabled, and if you disagree with them, you can take these various appeals. You can also have a free consultation with an attorney, such as we offer, and that attorney will analyze the case by phone or in person and give you a better idea of the probabilities for success.
