It’s going to depend on what level you’re at. If you’ve been turned down at the initial level, the next appellate level is called reconsideration or recon. To file for recon you have to fill out a form, it’s called a reconsideration form. You have to tell the social security administration why you think they made a mistake. You have to bring them up to date on any further treatment that you’ve had since your initial application, and they will reexamine that and make a new determination as to whether or not you are disabled.
