In Florida, we are a reverse offset state, which means that workers compensation will reduce your benefits, your monthly benefit, for a permanent total disability based on the fact that you’re collecting social security benefits. In other states, social security would take the offset and you would get less in social security if you were collecting permanent benefits under social security.
