It’s going to depend. You can continue to receive Social Security disability benefits even if you are working, assuming that your work does not rise to the level of substantial gainful employment. In other words, you can make, and I’m now addressing only an SSD claim( that is a disability award based on contributions into the system as opposed to an SSI claim which is welfare) if you’re making less than approximately $12,000 a year. While there may be some offset, you should still be able to retain your Social Security disability benefits. Now, if you go back to full gainful employment your Social Security benefits will end.
